" I'm a Diezel Herbert owner who just had Jens install his "Tone Mod". First off I want to say that i'm not into mods on amps especially with super high-end ones but with this being a totally by-passable mod I had to try it out. Jens installed an additional pot which controls the level of decompression, from all original factory installed high compression to very little compression. When I picked up my amp and first heard the difference I was stunned. With the amp at a moderate volume and the mod pot turned on at low to mid levels it gives the amp more breath and richness to my clean channel and more punch and growl to my gain channels. With the mod at full it makes the amp push more air and just unleashes the beast of the amp, something I never thought possible, the cleans open up with more punch and pick attack breakup, the gain is just insane it totally opens up with more attack without over distorting. I could never use this amp at low levels it would be muddy on gain channels and thin on the clean channels but with this mod on at full and the amp volume turned low it sounds amazing. But this mod really takes it to the next level when using the amp live it really helps you cut thru without turning your amp volume up and really helps you to get your tone in any situation. I never thought I would want something like this on my Diezel but after hearing what it did I'm going to get this kind of mod installed in my Boogie and Marshall as well. "

Hi Jens I just wanted to tell you my modded Herbert MK-II is amazing !! I've realized Diezel amps are great but once you do your mods (Variac + Tone Mod) they become incredible.
