These new KT77 tubes are amazing - super high quality big, full tone with really crystal clear 3-D cleans, extended lows and highs and great bass response - an "Ultimate EL34".

They are not as compressed as EL34 and feel more open  like 6L6s.

KT77s install into an amp wired for 6L6's WITHOUT HAVING TO REWIRE THE TUBE SOCKET. They do not need to have pin 1 connected to Pin 8 to operate.

If you have an amp with 6L6 power tubes and want the EL34 sound, just plug them in and set the bias.

Originally the KT77 were designed as an EL34-super high end replacement.
