I've been sitting around for months wondering why I couldn't get the tone I wanted out of my 5150. After searching around I found Kruse Kontrol Amplification and went to the website and listened to the comparison Sound Clips of the SuperCharge mod. I took my Peavey 5150 II in and after getting it back I was blown away by the tone, The tone I've been chasing !!! Now I'm taking my other 6505 plus I have as a back up to get that one modded, too.
I have a lot of friends at Guitar Center and after I got the SuperCharge Mod done I went over to Guitar Center to meet up with Robert (manager) a good friend of mine. He is also with the band My Children My Bride. We're both tone chasers and he wanted to hear the mod.We took the Kruse modded Peavey 6505 into the isolation both and fired it up and Robert was blown away. Then we fired up a $3600 Friedman Steve Stevens head and A/B'ed both amps. The Kruse modded Peavey 6505+ just sounded better with more overdrive that was clearer and more transparent than the Friedman."Cost of used 6505+ with added mods: $1,000.00

Hey Jens, I’ve finally had a chance to test out the mod you performed on my Bogner. WOW! Totally different amp! Channel 2 & 3 are much clearer and articulate. I also love that their is more gain on tap as well! Excellent work! Thanks again! Ted
